My name is Katharine, but to most people, I'm Kat! I am a 30-something photographer, counselor, wife, and mama based in California's Central Coast. As a Monterey County native, I have grown up surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and I hope to have the opportunity to share them with you. I am a sucker for raw emotion, authenticity, and wild adventures.
In my free time, I enjoy spending slow mornings sipping on tea, reading, drawing, and watching New Girl. I love sunrises & sunsets, road trips, travel, hiking, creative projects, cute local coffee shops, dogs, and good music. Most of all, I love spending time with the people (and pets) I hold near and dear.
Having grown up in Monterey County, I often took this little slice of heaven for granted. After spending 6 years on the East Coast, the California coastline called me back in 2018.
Growing up, I have always loved documenting my life. I remember running to the store to buy a disposable camera before every big event, getting my first “big girl” camera- a hand-me-down Canon from my dad, and editing photoshoots with friends before posting them to Flickr. Since then, my work and style have evolved, as has my devotion to this craft.
I became a mother to a beautiful baby boy in 2023. Everyone tells me, “it goes so fast”. And don’t I know it. I want to bottle up these fleeting moments and place them in a time capsule. I want to document every single detail so I don’t forget the dimples on his knuckles or the stork bite on his neck. As your photographer, I want to do the same for you. I want to remind you of these little details when you look back on these photographs 5, 10, and 30 years from now. I want to connect with you and capture the essence of your love. I want to press pause and tell your story through my lens. Let’s fill the pages with a thumb sweeping hair out of your face, lips pressed against your cheek, the tiniest hands curling around your finger.
